Zebra Jaspers are opaque stones with natural dark, jagged stripes of black or brown on backgrounds of teal-green, white, gray, tan, red… Actually, many of the semiprecious gemstone colors can exhibit a Zebra Jasper variation! The difference between Zebra Jaspers and Picasso Jasper is that the Zebra Jasper streaks are thicker, somewhat mottled and more uniform—often seeming to encircle the stone. The streaks typical of Picasso Jasper are random, thin and not mottled.
