Deep rusty red, toasty browns and muted olive-green dominate the colorations of this two-strand necklace that includes a beautiful Marquise Pendant in deeper tones of red, brown, mauve and a mellow golden yellow. The necklace stones are slightly matted* and have a velvet-like appearance and are smooth to the touch. The Sterling Silver accents on each strand of the necklace, and Miriam's Ornate Signature Swirls on the Pendant, combine to create Wearable Art that will bring lots of compliments.

Red Creek Jasper (also called Cherry Creek Jasper) comes from the Cherry Creek Mine in Mainland China, named for the creek that flows through the area where this gorgeous stone was first discovered. Each stone has an amazing coloration of varied combinations of tans and browns, shades of red, golden yellow, teal, and sage greens —all swirled between a dark lightning-strike random pattern—similar to Picasso Jasper. In fact, Red Creek Jasper is sometimes referred to as Picasso Jasper. (Miriam prefers to reserve use of the term Picasso Jasper to Black & Gray stones.)
*The process to matte finish a stone starts with putting it through all the normal steps of a polished bead. It is cut, drilled and polished, then goes back into a tumbler with a fine grit powder, tiny stones and water and additional tiny stones. Depending on the stone’s hardness and characteristics, it can take up to 2 hours in the tumbler— and may require multiple tumbles with various sized grit powder.
					- Total Necklace length is 17 inches. (Need a longer necklace? Visit our Custom Design page for a free estimate.)
- The Pendant stone measures 2.5 x 1.5 inches.
- The "Sticks" that form the Necklace range from 0.25 to 0.75 inches.
