Sparkling Natural White Druzy Crystal Quartz (WHT-001)
Sparkling Winter White Druzy Crystal Quartz Necklace is a beautiful example of natural Druzy Quartz that looks like translucent puffy clouds. The perfect touch to any color outfit – or to a white wedding gown! All the quartz beads are polished on the sides and back, so they lie smoothly and comfortably on the skin and will not scratch clothing. Each of the seven freeform crystal quartz are natural. The smaller round druzy crystal quartz in this necklace are coated with a thin layer of Titanium, to produce a contrasting iridescent permanent coating that provides even more depth and interest to this stunning necklace. The Titanium coat is done in a vacuum chamber coating only the crystals on the top of the quartz.
- Full length of the necklace, including the romantic sterling silver clasp, is 17.25 inches
- Each of the large Free-Form Druzy Crystal Quartz measure 22 to 33mm and are 10mm in depth.
- Round Titanium-coated crystal quartz Druzy beads are 10mm and approximately 7mm in depth.
- The necklace is strung on a strong but flexible 0.019 49-strand stainless steel wire that is nylon coated.
Earrings to match either the Titanium-coated crystals or the lovely sterling silver clasp, and a bracelet, are available only by custom order—and only as a set with the necklace.
Druzy, drusy, druse, or drusies! The spellings may differ, but they all mean the same thing: A rock coated with tiny sparkling crystals that form within or on the surface. Druzy crystals form when ground water carrying dissolved silica is forced into a porous area of the rock, rapid cooling often occurs, causing the formation of tiny crystals on the surfaces or in cavities of the rock. In addition to clear quartz, some other minerals found in this druzy form are chrysocolla, malachite, hematite, psilomelane, uvarovite, pyrite, carnelian and cobalto-calcite.
