- Mexican Laguna Lace Agate
Mexican Laguna Lace Agate
Mexican Laguna Lace Agate is a hybrid of Crazy Lace and Laguna Agates, and a variety of Mexican Crazy Lace Agate. It is distinguished from its more opaque Crazy Lace relatives by its deeper and darker color palette, and it's more obvious areas of translucency. Crazy Lace Agate also occurs in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Other varieties are Bubble Lace, Cactus Lace, Chinese Writing Lace, Day and Night Lace, Dog Tooth Lace, Fine Line Lace, Noriega Lace, Victors Lace, Zebra Lace and a variety of "Lacey" others, including the Australian Green Lace stones seen in Miriam's Private Gemstone Collection. Some stone types have bands that change colors mid-pattern. (Note: Blue, Purple and other colored Crazy Lace Agates, while still beautiful, are dyed. Miriam does not use dyed stones in her designs.)
