Polychrome Desert Jasper
Polychrome Madagascar Desert Jasper is believed to be one of the rarest stones on the planet, distinguished by its vibrant earthy and natural multiple-colors—usually in circular, eye-shaped or landscape-like spheres of beautiful grays and gray-greens, reds, tans and browns, and sometimes in purples and pinks. Teal or blue Polychrome Jasper is even more rare. Polychrome Desert Jasper is mined only in small deposits in the Northern Coast of Madagascar, the same area as the currently mined-out Ocean Jasper. It is called "Desert" Jasper, probably because of its rich earthtones. Miriam recently read about a new find of Polychrome Jasper called “Ribbon Polychrome Jasper,” which presumably has mesmerizing rings and layers to it, and includes natural teal-blue colorations. Miriam thinks this newer Polychrome Jasper may be similar to the “Ocean Wave Jasper,” claimed to have a similar color palette to "Ocean Jasper,” which displays wavy bands rather than orbs or circles of color. She is still trying to find sources for Ocean Ribbon and Polychrome Ribbon Jaspers. Metaphysical essence: Stability, balance and grounding, action, creativity and passion.
