Graceful Bands of Autumn Colors Distinguish the Beauty of Saturn Jasper (GRN-012)
With its graceful, swirling bands of olive green, brick red, soft taupe and splashes of cream—it’s easy to see why this natural stone is called Saturn Jasper. Each bold stone Miriam chose was cut to show the bands swirling in either horizontal or vertical patterns – to display the maximum array of color and patterns. Miriam designs all her semiprecious gemstone jewelry to accentuate the natural features of each stone’s natural color and texture. In this gorgeous piece, she used seven bean-shaped, handwrought and textured bronze beads as accents —complemented by the handwrought S-clasp. Small jasper beads were used as spacers. Every stone is a stunning work of art created by nature, and carefully positioned by Miriam to create a striking and wearable art treasure. Like most of Miriam's Necklaces, this bold one-of-kind work is reversible!
- Full length of the necklace is 19 inches, including the textured bronze clasp.
- Puffed ovals are approximately 2 inches long, 1 1/8 inches wide, and 6/8 inches thick at the center.
- The Old World BronzeTM textured beans are 0.5 inches long and nearly as wide.
- The necklace is strung on a flexible but strong, antique bronze stainless steel, nylon-coated beading wire.
As it ages, bronze develops a beautiful patina that enhances the individual character of each piece. Miriam used Old World BronzeTM. Each bead is handcrafted using an old-world wax method, and a bronze recipe developed by the Charveaux family of metalsmiths in Scottsdale, Arizona.
